2-3 Class Teacher- Teresa Deppiesse first came to NCP as a parent in 2007. She and her daughter loved being a part of the 3-4’s and Pre-K class and Teresa was actively involved as a Class Coordinator, Board Member and NCP Registrar. She is thrilled to return to Northshore Co-op in the role of teacher and parent educator. Teresa believes cooperative preschool is a caring, supportive community that fosters learning, discovery and growth for both children and their families. Teresa graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Psychology and her Elementary Education Certificate. She taught kindergarten, first and second grade in the Lake Washington School District for 10 years. Outdoor Class Teacher- Missy Cornwell has taught PreK and 2-3 year old classes at a Shoreline cooperative preschool for the last 3 years. This past year, she delivered a hybrid model with outdoor classes as well as virtual learning. In addition, she is a substitute para educator in the Northshore School District, as well as a Roots of Empathy Instructor. Missy grew up locally in Lake Forest Park and was a student in Lake Forest Park Coop Preschool. She is also an NCP alumni parent and board member; she knew that co-op is where she wanted to be. Missy wants to share the importance of relationships in these early parenting years and encourage curiosity in learning. She is the mother to two wonderful children (Evie and Owen) and wife to Jeff (her high school sweetheart). When not at school, you can usually find her on the soccer field sidelines or a baseball/softball diamond with a camera in hand. She loves that she can once again be a part of Northshore Cooperative Preschool and its amazing community.
