Our Teachers

Pre-K Class Teacher -  Cam Harrel has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Special Education with an emphasis on behavior disorders.  Before teaching at NCP, she taught both regular and special education in elementary and middle schools for 10 years.   Teacher Cam loves to come to work each day and interact with her kids and parents.  She works hard to ensure her class learns the skills and behaviors for a successful transition to kindergarten.  Teacher Cam enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, Donny, and two kids, Easton and Brooklyn.

1-2 and 3-4 Classes Teacher -  Kari Moore has been involved in cooperative education for a number of years as a parent and board member at NCP, a teacher with Lake Washington Toddler Group and now as the 1-2's and 3-4’s teacher at NCP. Kari joins us with over 15 years of teaching early elementary education. Additionally, her experience and great enthusiasm for preschoolers stems from being involved and facilitating PEPS, participating in Evergreen Mom/Baby group and many more local toddler/child programs. Kari has a Psychology Degree, Certification in Elementary Education from Gonzaga University, and earned her Masters in Teaching in 2007. Being a Seattle native, Kari enjoys spending time outdoors with her twins Ella and Will, her husband Chuck, and their dog, Crosby.

2-3 Class & Outdoor Class Teacher - Missy Cornwell has taught PreK and 2-3 year old classes at a Shoreline cooperative preschool for the last 3 years. This past year, she delivered a hybrid model with outdoor classes as well as virtual learning. In addition, she is a substitute para educator in the Northshore School District, as well as a Roots of Empathy Instructor. Missy grew up locally in Lake Forest Park and was a student in Lake Forest Park Coop Preschool. She is also an NCP alumni parent and board member; she knew that co-op is where she wanted to be. Missy wants to share the importance of relationships in these early parenting years and encourage curiosity in learning. She is the mother to two wonderful children (Evie and Owen) and wife to Jeff (her high school sweetheart).  When not at school, you can usually find her on the soccer field sidelines or a baseball/softball diamond with a camera in hand. She loves that she can once again be a part of Northshore Cooperative Preschool and its amazing community.
